"Before I draw nearer to that stone to which you point," said Scrooge, "answer me one question. Are these the shadows of the things that Will be, or are they Beta?"

I wanted to give another example that may provide a further clue:

On each page in the George Blood wing of the 78 collection, there are multiple mp3s per digitized side. There are two mp3s for each of the various needles used, and there is a preferred version renamed to a friendlier file name (always the first item in the online player).

On the page for Decca's promotional release of Roberta Lee singing Why Darling Why, there are only four 'Covers' for the friendly-name preferred version, but the other eight versions show 50+ Covers (actually about 4.85 million results; similar to BNRToast's example above).

Also, the results of both the Bob & Ray and the Roberta Lee oversize 'Covers' searches, when sorted by relevance, are heavily weighted to The Live Music Archive.

One odd thing about the commercial release of this same song: While this IA page has a total of nine mp3s (eight digitizations and one 'friendly filename' version), it has only one row of 'Related Music', for the renamed preferred version (with four appropriate results).

I hope there's a helpful clue in here somewhere; if not, sorry.

This feature could be useful in some collections, the 78 collection for example, but it would be nice if it could at least be toggled 'Hide/Show', in a setting that would be maintained from page to page (similar to the 'Thumbnails/List' view setting for search results).

Sorry to keep bugging you about this, but I found a hiccup on one of my pages that may indicate a problem. I have a page that has seven audio files, but only six of them appear in the Related Music list.

The audio file titled 'The Pearling Matter - Episode 1 (June 18, 1956)' does not appear in the list, even though the file name and metadata are almost identical to episodes 2, 3, 4, and 5, which do appear. Episodes 2 to 5 each show one link under 'Compilations'; episode 1 also has its namesake on the page that appears in the search results.

Here's the page with the 'missing link':

About the placement of the Related Music list on the pages, I think it may be better to put it after the reviews. On some OTR pages there is a very large number of audio files, resulting in an extremely long Related Music list.

Have a look at the OTRR's Gunsmoke page, and you'll see what I mean. Not only does the list drive the reviews several yards down the page, it actually appears in the middle of the uploader's article; the section of that article titled 'Notes' appears after the Related Music list. Perhaps it might be best if the Related Music could be incorporated into the 'Similar Items' section that appears at the bottom of each page.

Here's the Gunsmoke page in question:

Thanks.
